When to Change Your Plan
When to review your plan and when to leave it alone. A change to your goal, date, financial situation or honest profile answers is a reason to review it. A market fall or a worrying headline, on its own, is not.
By the end of this module, you’ll be able to:
- Tell a genuine change to your plan from a reaction to markets or news.
- Explain why long-term return estimates are not promises.
- Apply the rule that plan changes follow input changes, not market falls alone.
- Record the changed input and reason before updating your plan.
- Explain why a market view or industry preference does not change your band.
